This year at Nohitatu, we decided to elevate our annual day celebration by retreating to a serene resort. We picked this cool spot by the Muttukadu Lake in Chennai, with trees, flowers, and a refreshing breeze—it was like a dream, the stage was set for a day of relaxation, rejuvenation, and reconnection.
As the clock struck 3 PM, we were all pumped up to kick off the festivities, starting with capturing the moments through pictures. The air was filled with excitement, laughter, and the anticipation of good times.
The celebration kicked into high gear with a gastronomic adventure—seriously yummy food that satisfied our taste buds. After that, it was game time—cricket, throw ball, 7 stones. We laughed, played, and even had heart-to-heart talks under the stars. And, of course, dancing like nobody was watching.
The resort's pool became our aquatic playground, complete with an awesome sliding board that took us back to our childhoods. Turns out, it was our boss's birthday too! Double celebration! We screamed a countdown at 11.59 PM and belted out a big "Happy Birthday, boss!" at midnight. Cutting the cake was a sweet ending to the night, followed by a good night's sleep in our rooms.
The next morning began with the same games, an aromatic breakfast that felt like the best thing ever, and the exchange of return gifts, sweets, and ice creams—a treat courtesy of the boss's birthday.
As we wrapped up around noon with sad faces, it was undeniably a beautiful day with our awesome crew and superhero boss. This annual day wasn't just a getaway; it was a celebration of shared journeys, unity, and the reaffirmation that at Nohitatu, we're not just a team; we're a family.
